Nolan Gorman Receives Injection for Pain
Nolan Gorman (back) is on the injured list with lower back pain. According to Cardinals President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak, Gorman had an injection for his lower back pain and could be ready to return when first eligible on July 29. His return should be based on how he responds to this injection. The injection should help relieve his lower back pain and inflammation, and allow Gorman the mobility to play. It is not known whether a rehab assignment will be needed. The power-hitting second baseman has logged an OPS this year of .718 and a wRC+ of 102. Gorman has averaged 20 home runs over the last three seasons. Fantasy managers with an IL spot in deep leagues can continue to stash Gorman.
