No Structural Damage For Tommy Edman
Tommy Edman's (wrist) injured right wrist didn't show any structural damage. Edman is encouraged after having the scan, although he missed Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins after being scratched on Wednesday. The 28-year-old felt pretty intense pain in his wrist while taking batting practice before Wednesday's game, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury. There's a chance that he could return this weekend against the Chicago White Sox, but the Cardinals could also choose to hold him out before next week's All-Star game as a precaution. Edman has been an everyday player for St. Louis and is currently slashing .237/.303/.391 with seven home runs, 29 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 44 runs scored. He remains day-to-day and should avoid the injured list.
