Matt Wallner Expected to Return on Tuesday
Matt Wallner (personal) is expected to rejoin the team in the Bronx on Tuesday for their game against the New York Yankees after being away since Saturday for the birth of his child. Wallner should be a lineup regular for the Twins after they traded away plenty of players at the July 31 deadline. The 27-year-old is hitting a career-low .218 (51-for-234) with 77 strikeouts and 34 walks, but he's also recorded a career-high 16 home runs, 27 RBI and 34 runs scored in 74 games. Wallner's .233 expected batting average means he could still have a little run in him this year, but he's also in just the eighth percentile in strikeout rate. Fantasy managers are simply chasing the former first-rounder's power from the left side in the middle of Minnesota's lineup.
