2 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter is not in the lineup for the second straight day on Friday. Tommy Edman is at third base again and will hit seventh against Rockies starter Peter Lambert. Carp has been atrocious since returning from his injury and has just never really hit a stride all season. As a result, it looks like St. Louis will keep him on the bench more regularly. Edman will be the beneficiary and is worth a look in NL-only leagues. He's not the greatest DFS play, though, as he's hitting .270/.303/.423 with five homers, 20 RBI and eight steals in 189 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
