3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders designated quarterback Marcus Mariota (quadriceps) to return from Injured Reserve, and he returned to the practice field on Wednesday. The Raiders now have 21 days to activate Mariota from IR to the active roster as Derek Carr's backup. There's no guarantee that he'll be backing up Carr as early as this Sunday against the division-rival Denver Broncos. The 27-year-old is one of the most talented backup signal-callers in the NFL, but he played in just one game last year and will remain off the fantasy radar in most leagues unless Carr misses time with an injury.
