Seattle Mariners outfielder Luke Raley (back) is sitting out of Tuesday's series opener against the visiting Baltimore Orioles due to back tightness, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. Dominic Canzone is starting in right field for the M's and will hit cleanup against Orioles right-hander Brandon Young. For now, we'll consider Raley to be day-to-day. If he's feeling better on Wednesday, he could be right back in the lineup against Baltimore right-hander Kyle Bradish. In his sixth year in the majors and third year with Seattle, Raley is on pace to set a new career high in home runs. Through 66 games in 2026 across 210 plate appearances, the left-handed slugger is slashing .241/.303/.503 with an .806 OPS, 14 home runs, 35 RBI, 24 runs scored, and a stolen base. The power is nice from the left side, but the fact that he rarely faces left-handers limits his overall fantasy upside in mixed leagues. Raley has gone just 2-for-16 (.125) with none of his 14 home runs against lefties this season.--Keith Hernandez
