Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Resting Against Phillies
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is resting on Wednesday in the series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies. It will be Gurriel's first day off after starting the team's last nine games. He's currently in the midst of a 13-game hitting streak, going 18-for-54 (.333) during that span with seven doubles, three home runs and eight RBI. The 29-year-old outfielder is having a great first season in the desert with the D-Backs to this point in the year, as he's hitting .317 (53-for-167) with 14 doubles, a triple, eight home runs, 27 RBI and 29 runs scored in 183 plate appearances and 44 games. He's become a must-start in fantasy. Evan Longoria is serving as Arizona's designated hitter on Wednesday and is batting fifth against Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez.
