Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Carted Off Monday With Knee Injury
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (knee) was carted off the field in Monday's 7-5 extra-inning loss to the Rangers with knee pain/discomfort, per manager Torey Lovullo. Gurriel Jr. was getting out of the way of a Blaze Alexander sliding catch in the outfield in the sixth inning when he went down without contact. Luvollo said the team will no more on the severity of the injury after imaging on Tuesday but said, "It doesn't look great". Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for further updates, although they may want to err on the side of caution given how the injury looked and Luvollo's comments. Gurriel Jr. owns a .248/.295/.418 slash lien this season with 19 home runs, 80 RBI, and 10 stolen bases in 546 plate appearances.
