Less Than 50 Percent Chance Jerry Jeudy Plays Thursday
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) will do some full-speed work this week in his return from a high ankle sprain, but head coach Vic Fangio said Jeudy's chances of playing in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night "are less than 50%." On a short week, it doesn't make sense for the Broncos to rush the former first-round pick. The 22-year-old was on his way to a big game in the season opener before spraining his ankle, as he had caught six of seven targets for 72 yards. Denver might choose to ease Jeudy back in when he eventually returns, most likely in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. But based on Jeudy's usage in Week 1, he should eventually have a huge role in this offense, and his return will be a boost for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. If Jeudy is on your league's waiver wire, pick him up immediately.
