SF Chronicle's Susan Slusser reported on Monday that San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp (knee) is unlikely to pitch again for the team this season. Roupp was placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to August 21 with left knee inflammation and the team does not want to rush him back. The 26-year-old pitched out of the bullpen for the Giants in 2024 but emerged as a viable streaming starter for fantasy this season, going 7-7 with a 3.80 ERA, a 1.48 WHIP, and a 21.4% strikeout rate in 22 starts and 106 2/3 innings pitched. Roupp has things to improve on, but fantasy managers will have to wait until next season before they check back in on him.--Connelly Doan
