2/27:Minnesota Twins first baseman/designated hitter Kennys Vargas has been benefiting from better vision after getting a a new contact-lens prescription for his left eye. The switch-hitter told reporters that both eyes are now 20/20 as he heads into the season. The young slugger is out of options with the Twins and has heard his name pop up in trade rumors throughout the offseason. Despite possessing massive power, Vargas has struggled to make much of a difference in the big leagues, posting just a .252 batting average, 35 homers, 104 runs and 116 RBI in 859 career plate appearances. Vargas will find at-bats hard to come by in Minnesota, especially now that first basemanĀ Logan Morrison is in the fold.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
