Justin Upton Takes Live BP
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton (toe) took live batting practice on Wednesday, according to manager Brad Ausmus. Upton even hit a few home runs during the session. Ausmus said Upton would need less than 50 plate appearances in a rehab assignment to be ready to make his season debut. Upton is only 75 percent owned in Yahoo leagues at the moment. That number needs to be higher with him potentially returning in the middle of June. Over a full season, Upton still has 30-homer power despite the fact that he won't help you all that much in batting average because he strikes out too much.
