Jose Fermin Joining The Cardinals
Jose Fermin from the minors to join the team for their weekend series against the Chicago White Sox, according to a source. Fermin had his spring interrupted by a quadriceps injury and has gone just 4-for-24 since rejoining Triple-A Memphis. The Cardinals are in need of more infield depth with both Tommy Edman (wrist) and Brendan Donovan (arm) dealing with injuries heading into next week's All-Star break, so Fermin could see a few starts this weekend to get the club to the break. The 24-year-old will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game, but he can be ignored for now for fantasy purposes.
