Jonathan India Out With Sore Shoulder
Jonathan India (shoulder) dealt with a sore shoulder after Tuesday's game and will take a seat for Wednesday's contest against the Atlanta Braves, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com. Manager Matt Quatraro said that India is available, but the team is being cautious with him with an off day coming on Thursday. Veteran Adam Frazier is starting at second base and will bat seventh on Wednesday against Braves left-hander Joey Wentz. It's possible that India will be ready to return to the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays in Canada. The 28-year-old former fifth overall pick by the Cincinnati Reds in 2018 out of Florida hasn't been very productive in his first year in KC, slashing a mediocre .240/.322/.342 with a career-low .664 OPS, only five home runs an 32 RBI in 100 games played.
