Joey Cantillo Expected to Start on Wednesday
Joey Cantillo is with the big-league club and is expected to make the start for Wednesday's game at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox, according to Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. Left-hander Logan Allen will be either pushed back in the rotation or moved to the bullpen with the return of Cantillo. The 25-year-old southpaw won't be a recommended streamer for fantasy managers in his return to the Guards on Wednesday after sporting an ERA over 6.00 with 12 strikeouts and four walks in two starts for Triple-A Columbus since being sent down to the farm. In his 29 appearances (eight starts) in the big leagues this year, Cantillo has a decent 3.93 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP, 80 strikeouts and 36 walks in 66 1/3 frames. In a relief appearance against Boston on April 27, he allowed three runs (two earned) with a walk and three K's in just two innings.
