Jimmy Crooks to Join MLB Roster
Jimmy Crooks to the MLB roster prior to their contest on Friday evening against the Cincinnati Reds. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals are placing catcher Yohel Pozo (concussion) on the 7-day concussion list. The 24-year-old has spent the entire 2025 season at the Triple-A level. Through his first 98 games at the top level of the St. Louis system, Crooks has posted a solid .274/.337/.441 line with 21 doubles, 14 home runs, and a 114:36 K:BB. During this stretch, Crooks has not stolen a base and scored 61 runs and brought in 79 runs. In 2024, Crooks spent his time with Double-A and posted an impressive .908 OPS. Given that Crooks will likely share time with Pedro Pages, he is only worth a look in deep NL-only formats.
