The Giants have placed outfielder Jerar Encarnacion (oblique) on the 10-day injured list with a left-oblique strain. In a corresponding move, Daniel Johnson, who was optioned to make room for Rafael Devers, is right back with the team, according to MLB.com's Justice delos Santos. Encarnacion is slashing .136/.136/.182 in eight games since returning from a hand fracture that kept him sidelined until early June, and he'll now spend at least another 10 days on the IL. He has one run scored, one stolen base, and zero RBI or home runs in that eight-game stretch. Encarnacion has not been able to build off of his .248/.277/.425 2024 slash line in 119 plate appearances in 2024 and is not a must-hold in deeper fantasy leagues while he's out.--Nicho
