Jeferson Quero Back at Triple-A Nashville
Jeferson Quero (hamstring) has been reassigned to Triple-A Nashville after completing an 11-game rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League affiliate. The Brewers' second-ranked prospect went 1-for-5 with a single and two strikeouts in his first game back with the Sounds on Tuesday night. In his last full season of 2023, the 5-foot-11 backstop hit .262 with 16 home runs and registered a .339 OBP thanks to a 10.0 percent walk rate in 90 games at Double-A. Due to so much missed time, he'll have to get off to a hot start in order to get the call to majors by season's end, and with William Contreras locked in as the starting catcher, there's no need to rush him.
