Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (Achilles) won't play on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. His absence was expected because Boston also played on Thursday night. In a game against the New York Knicks, Tatum had 24 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and one block in 40 minutes. The Celtics could also be without Jaylen Brown (Achilles), who is considered questionable. In this case, Jordan Walsh, Baylor Scheierman, and Hugo Gonzalez are candidates for increased roles.
