James Conner's Injury Is "Nothing Major"
2 years agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner (shin) is considered day-to-day with his shin injury, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. The head coach called Conner's injury "nothing major" and said that X-rays came back negative. The 27-year-old was injured in the fourth quarter of the Week 17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons but still managed 16 carries for 79 yards while catching all three of his targets for 31 additional yards on 55 percent of the offensive snaps. He might be rested early in the practice week, but Conner should be able to close out the regular season and play in Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers. It will be a tough matchup if Conner plays, but he's been a strong RB2 this year as the overall RB16 in half-point PPR scoring.
