Texas Rangers relief pitcher Jakob Junis will function as the opener for Monday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Junis will be asked to make an emergency start with Nathan Eovaldi (side) being a late scratch on Monday. Junis has made over 100 career starts, but has been exclusively a reliever since the 2025 season. He figures to only work a few innings before handing it over for a bullpen game. Cal Quantrill could end up pitching the bulk of the innings on Monday. Junis won't be a reliable streaming option given the fact that he isn't going to pitch deep into this game.--Andy Webb
