Jacob Wilson Scratched With Hamstring Soreness
Jacob Wilson (hamstring) has been scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup against the hosting Tampa Bay Rays due to right-hamstring soreness, according to MLB.com's Martin Gallegos. Manager Mark Kotsay said that Wilson woke up feeling sore in the morning and could also get the series finale in Tampa off before a scheduled day off on Thursday. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Wednesday to see if Wilson is back in there, but the more likely scenario is that the 23-year-old is held out until Friday's series opener against the San Francisco Giants in Sacramento. Max Schuemann is now starting at the 6 and will hit ninth on Tuesday against Rays right-hander Shane Baz. Although Wilson hasn't displayed much power or speed, he's among the hardest in the game to strike out and is currently batting .339 (108-for-319).
