Jacob Misiorowski Expected to Make Next Start
Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski (ankle) is expected to make his next start against the Chicago Cubs. Misiorowski exited his MLB debut early on Thursday after suffering an ankle/leg injury. However, following the game, Misiorowski noted that he felt fine and had minor swelling in his left ankle. Given this update, the hard-throwing right-hander was able to avoid a significant injury. In his MLB debut, Misiorowski was quite impressive, tossing five no-hit innings against the Cardinals. In this outing, he struck out five batters and allowed four walks. Earlier this season, in Triple-A, the top-ranked pitcher in the Milwaukee system performed at a high level, tossing 63 1/3 innings to the tune of a 2.13 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP. During this stretch, he struck out 80 batters. Even though he will have a tough task in his next start against the Cubs, he is worth starting in all leagues given his production at Triple-A and promising debut.
