Jackson Jobe With Decreased Velocity in Rough Start
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jackson Jobe didn't factor into the decision on Wednesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 4 ⅔ innings. This was the third time this season that he failed to complete five frames, and his velocity was noticeably lower on all of his pitches. His four-seam fastball was down 1.5 mph, which may have led to the ineffectiveness. It's unclear if there is a potential injury concern or if he was just having a bad day, and there were no answers post-game as Jobe was bizarrely not in the clubhouse to talk to the media after the game.
