Hayden Hurst 2018 Outlook: The Gamecock Could Fly As A Raven
6 years agoWhile most rookie tight ends do not find success in the NFL, there is a real chance for Hayden Hurst to break this trend. The Ravens official website has called for him to possibly break the Ravens’ record for receptions by a rookie tight end which was set by Maxx Williams in 2015. One of the reasons this could be in consideration is the fact that Hurst is older than most rookies. He'll be 25 at the start of the season because of his minor league baseball career which could help to ease the learning curve that many rookie tight ends go through. At 6’3 and 250lbs, Hurst has ideal size to be a major target for Joe Flacco who has utilized tight ends often in his career. Hurst is a sneaky grab at the end of drafts and a great stash in dynasty leagues.
