2 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres (hip) said he's available to play on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians and is feeling much better after leaving Tuesday's game with hip flexor tightness. Torres is a little bit sore, and he'll start Wednesday's game on the bench. In his place, Oswaldo Cabrera will start at the keystone and hit sixth against Guardians right-hander Peyton Battenfield. Torres should be back in the Yankees starting lineup for their next game. The 26-year-old is off to a very nice start in 2023, going 13-for-35 (.371) with a league-leading .522 on-base percentage, two doubles, a triple, two home runs, six RBI, five stolen bases, eight runs scored and a league-leading 11 walks through just 11 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
