1 year agoThe San Francisco Giants placed right-hander Alex Cobb (hip) on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday and recalled left-hander Kyle Harrison and right-hander Sean Hjelle from Triple-A Sacramento in corresponding moves. The team also placed right-hander Keaton Winn (illness) on the COVID injured list (retroactive to Sept. 19). Cobb has been dealing with a nagging left-hip injury for most of the second half of the season and had to be pulled from his start early on Tuesday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks when it flared up on him. The 35-year-old could return to start games for the Gigantes if they secure the final wild-card spot in the National League, but Cobb won't be of any use to fantasy managers in single-year leagues at this point. He finishes the 2023 season by going 7-7 with a 3.87 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 131 K's in 151 1/3 innings over 28 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
