Gardner Minshew II Officially Ruled Out For Week 9
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II (thumb) has officially been ruled out for Week 9 against the Texans. This was a foregone conclusion after it was announced that Minshew had suffered a fractured thumb in the Week 7 game. It's very possible that the 24-year-old second-year signal-caller will miss Week 10 as well. Sixth-round rookie Jake Luton is set to get his first career start this Sunday against Houston, where he'll be a desperation low-end QB2 for those in superflex leagues. Houston's defense is a very attractive unit this week as a result. Fantasy managers that roster receivers D.J. Chark Jr., rookie Laviska Shenault Jr. and Keelan Cole should downgrade them with Luton under center.
