1 year agoToronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet will hit the open market this summer after declining his player option, and he won't come cheap for any interested party. The 29-year-old had a $22.8 million option for 2023-24, but he is now looking for starting salary in the $30 million range in free agency. VanVleet averaged 19.3 points with 4.1 rebounds, a career-high 7.2 assists, and 1.8 steals in 2022-23, and he should get plenty of interest around the league, but some teams might be put off by his scoring efficiency.
