Evan Carter Activated From 10-Day Injured List

The Texas Rangers have activated outfielder Evan Carter (back) from the 10-day injured list and placed outfielder Adolis Garcia (ankle) on the 10-day IL with a sprained ankle, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports. Carter is returning after missing a minimal amount of time with back spasms. He went on the IL on Aug. 2 after posting an abysmal .572 OPS in 21 games in July. Multiple injuries have limited Carter to just 55 games, and he has hit a mediocre .238/.323/.381 with four homers, 21 RBI, 27 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases in 189 plate appearances.--Connor Byrne
