Ervin Santana To Begin Throwing Program Wednesday
Ervin Santana (finger) will begin a throwing program on Wednesday. It is a step in the right direction, as Santana has been sidelined since having capsular release surgery on his right middle finger in early February. The veteran right-hander missed all of spring training and will have to start all over again beginning on Wednesday. It will probably be somewhere between four to six weeks before he's back on a big league mound. Santana won 16 games and posted a 3.28 ERA in 2017.
