Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Cam York (lower body) is expected to make his season debut in Thursday's encounter with the Winnipeg Jets. York practiced for a third straight day on Wednesday, and the team is expected to activate him from Injured Reserve ahead of Thursday's game. With York's return, the Flyers receive help on both ends of the ice, as the 24-year-old blue-liner posted 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) and 126 blocks in 66 outings last season. York is expected to join Travis Sanheim on the first defensive pairing Thursday night, with Emil Andrae coming out of the lineup. Philadelphia has reassigned him to the minors.--Taavi Pailk
