San Jose Sharks defenseman John Klingberg (lower body) is considered day-to-day. The Swedish veteran has sustained a lower-body injury ahead of Friday's meeting with the Utah Mammoth. Klingberg has kicked off his career in San Jose with two points (one goal, one assist) in three games. He's collected both of his points on the power play. On the defensive end, Klingberg has contributed four blocks and three hits. Since Timothy Liljegren (upper body) is also nursing an injury, the Sharks may have two new blue-liners in the lineup on Friday. The team has carried Shakir Mukhamadullin and Vincent Desharnais as extra defensemen.--Taavi Pailk
