Dyami Brown 2021 Outlook: A Rookie Who Brings Upside
4 years agoThe Washington Football Team was lacking WR firepower and bolstered that unit in a big way this offseason, adding free agents Curtis Samuel and Adam Humphries along with selecting Dyami Brown out of North Carolina in the third round in this past NFL draft. Brown is a rookie with promise as he posted back-to-back seasons in 2019 and 2020 with 1,000 yards receiving and at least 50 receptions. The rookie is no slouch and will try to quickly become an integral part of this offense. Nevertheless, he does enter the season as the WR4 on the team at best and his role right off the bat will likely be small as he hasn't proven anything at the NFL level. Guys like Terry McLaurin, Samuel, Humphries, and TE Logan Thomas figure to be more targeted than Brown for now. As a result, the rookie shouldn't be drafted just yet considering his expected small role and the fact that Washington still needs to prove it has a strong enough passing attack to support multiple fantasy options.
