Dominick Puni On Track to Return to Practice Next Week

San Francisco 49ers right guard Dominick Puni (knee) was seen running on a side field on Thursday and appears on track to practice next week, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Puni is recovering from a knee sprain that held him out for a chunk of training camp, but he could return for Week 1. The 25-year-old had an excellent rookie season in 2024 and was graded as the 11th-best guard in the NFL by Pro Football Focus. Puni's impending return is good news for both 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterback Brock Purdy.--Will Brady
