Dodgers To Start Season With Five-Man Rotation
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that the team is planning to start the 2020 regular season with a five-man starting rotation. However, Roberts doesn't anticipate the starters going beyond four innings per game during their first turn through the rotation. With the 2020 season shortened to 60 games because of COVID-19, we're likely to see many teams take a similar approach with their rotations. Clayton Kershaw remains the team's ace, followed by Walker Buehler, David Price, Julio Urias and Alex Wood. Four of them are left-handed. With LA expected to begin the season using just five starters, it means that Ross Stripling and Dustin May will most likely begin the season in the bullpen as long relievers/swingmen.
