Dan Quinn Interviews For Commanders Head-Coaching Position
11 months agoDallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn interviewed on Tuesday with the Washington Commanders for their head-coaching position for the second time, according to a person with knowledge of the talks. Quinn is a finalist for the same job with the Seattle Seahawks as well, but he could be Washington's favorite for their vacant head-coaching position now that Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson announced that he's staying in Detroit for another year. It had previously been reported that Johnson was the Commanders' No. 1 choice to replace Ron Rivera, who was fired after the 2023 season. Dallas' defense collapsed in their wild-card playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, but Quinn's defensive units in Dallas have been strong in recent seasons and he has previous head-coaching experience with the Atlanta Falcons.
