Courtland Sutton a Focal Point for Cowboys Defense
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton was seemingly the focal point of the Dallas Cowboys' defensive game plan in Week 8, as they limited him to four catches on six targets for 67 yards and no touchdowns. On a day where Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw for four touchdowns, it's certainly disappointing that Sutton wasn't on the other end of any of them despite playing in a plus matchup. Sutton's alpha role was ceded to wide receiver Troy Franklin, who would ultimately lead the team with eight targets and six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Perhaps defenses will need to respect the rest of the receiving room from here on out if Franklin keeps showing up, but the whole offense will face a more difficult matchup in Week 9 as they travel to Houston to face the Texans.
