Could Browns Move On From J.C. Tretter?
Cleveland Browns center J.C. Tretter ranked second among qualifying centers in 2021, but his salary cap number for 2022 sits at $9.86 million. On top of it, 2020 fifth-rounder Nick Harris is poised to step into the role if Cleveland decides to part ways with Tretter in order to save $8.235 million on the cap. Tretter will be starting somewhere next year regardless, and he's more likely to be traded than released.
