Conor Daly just kept driving on Thursday night and that paid off. The IndyCar Series driver wound up gaining the final spot for the Daytona 500. Daly finished 17th in his Duel race two laps down, but lucked out when two other non-chartered cars crashed out. This will be Daly's first ever 500 race and The Money Team owner Tony Stewart was relieved. Daly's No. 50 car will need a lot of work between now and Sunday. Massive handling issues hampered his ability to drive the car remotely fast. He was seconds off the top racers. That has to improve. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
