Clayton Richard To Make Season Debut Thursday
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Clayton Richard (knee) will start on Thursday against the Red Sox in his season debut and will go around 50 to 60 pitches. The left-hander threw a bullpen session on Monday and made a three-inning rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday. The matchup on Thursday is a terrible one, but Richard wouldn't be a good streamer in any format regardless of the matchup. The 35-year-old has a weak 5.8 career K/9 in 10 seasons in the big leagues and should be left to deep AL-only leagues as a matchup-based play.
