Clayton Kershaw Has Shortest Career Start
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed four runs in just one inning, the shortest start of his career, in a 7-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. The southpaw allowed four hits and two walks while striking out two in just 39 pitches. Manager Dave Roberts said there were no physical issues, and there hasn't been discussion about Kershaw pitching on Saturday on short rest. It was only the second time in his 361 career starts that he allowed four runs in the first inning, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Kershaw's season ERA rose from 2.09 to 2.95 with the rough outing, but fantasy managers should be looking to get him back into their lineups when he faces the Los Angeles Angels his next time out.
