Robby Snelling Pitches Another Quality Start Thursday
Robby Snelling allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three against Triple-A Rochester. Thursday's outing was a step down from the dominance in recent starts, but still a quality start. He recorded 12 whiffs on 42 swings overall, again relying heavily on his four-seam and curveball combo. He got up to 98 mph on the heater and sat at 95 in the start. It caps an incredible August with only three earned runs in 30 innings. It comes out to a 0.90 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 38:9 K:BB ratio. The lefty has only gotten better since his promotion to Triple-A and could be inserted into the major league rotation at any moment. Ryan Gusto recently allowed nine runs in a start, while Adam Mazur was also recently promoted, but doesn't have the same upside as Snelling. Fantasy managers can stash him in 12-team leagues ahead of his call-up as a high-upside arm with strikeout upside.
