Caden Dana Gives Up Five Runs in Thursday's Start
Caden Dana took the loss as he allowed five runs on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts against Triple-A Round Rock. Dana was coming off a start where he allowed two runs and struck out 13 across seven innings, but he threw only 62 pitches and got through three frames in this one. He generated four swinging strikes on 33 swings and zero on the fastball. It's been a tough year overall for the 21-year-old right-hander. Dana holds a 5.93 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and an 85:46 K:BB ratio in 82 innings at Triple-A Salt Lake. Dana is currently ranked as the number five prospect in the Angels system according to MLB.com
