Bryce Eldridge Clubs 470 Foot Homer on Thursday
Bryce Eldridge went 2-for-6 with a two-run homer in a 21-7 slugfest win against Triple-A Reno. Eldridge got the scoring started with a 470-foot moonshot to right field in the first inning before Triple-A Sacramento broke out for 13 runs in the top of the third. The 20-year-old is up to 23 homers across multiple levels on the season, and hasn't seen a big production dip in his transition to Triple-A. The strikeout rate has crept up a bit to north of 30 percent, but he is still hitting for as much power. The lefty hitter will need to continue to get acclimated to same-handed pitching, as he has a .289 OBP against them this year. However, Edridge has elite raw power and figures to be in consideration for a late-season promotion if he continues to hit.
