Chris Godwin Not on the Practice Field on Thursday
Chris Godwin (leg) is not on the practice field with the rest of the team on Thursday, per the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud. Head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that Godwin is "not in play" to be active for the team's Week 7 tilt on Monday night against the Detroit Lions due to a fibula injury that kept him out of the Week 6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Tampa could be getting Mike Evans (hamstring) back this week, but along with Godwin, both wideout Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) are expected to be out. The 29-year-old Godwin didn't make his 2025 debut until Week 4 after recovering from a dislocated ankle that he suffered in Week 7 of last year. Now he's dealing with a fibula injury that could keep him sidelined beyond Week 7. Health issues and the quick emergence of Egbuka have cratered Godwin's fantasy value so far this year.
