Chiefs Expect Kadarius Toney To Be Ready For Week 1
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (knee), who tore his meniscus in the opening practice of training camp and required surgery, is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season against the Detroit Lions. Toney hasn't returned to practice, but the Chiefs remain hopeful that he can be their leading receiver in 2023 after they acquired him from the Giants at midseason last year. There remains no timetable for the 24-year-old to get back on the field at camp, but it should be soon if he's going to be ready for Week 1. Toney has shown glimpses of his upside since being a first-round pick in 2021, but injuries have held him back so far. He'll be a risk/reward WR4/5 late in fantasy drafts this fall.
