Chase Petty Joins MLB Roster Prior To Wednesday's Start
Chase Petty to the MLB roster ahead of his MLB debut on Wednesday evening against the St. Louis Cardinals. Petty is slated to start the second half of Wednesday's doubleheader. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the Triple-A campaign and is being rewarded with an early MLB debut. Through his first 23 innings at Triple-A Louisville, Petty has held a 3.52 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP. He has struck out 27 batters and served up just nine free passes. In his last start, Petty tossed six shutout innings and tallied seven punchouts against the Iowa Cubs. He is worth a look in deeper NL-only formats facing the St. Louis Cardinals. However, he will likely be optioned back to Triple-A after this start and should not be targeted in shallow formats.
