Brock Stewart Heading to the 15-Day Injured List
Brock Stewart (shoulder), the Dodgers' big deadline acquisition for the bullpen, has some shoulder inflammation. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts believes they caught it early, but he's going on the 15-day IL, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports. The Dodgers' bullpen continues to get hit with the injury bug, and Stewart will join Brusdar Graterol (shoulder), Michael Kopech (knee), Evan Phillips (elbow), Tanner Scott (elbow), and Kirby Yates (back) on the injured list. Stewart had last appeared in Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. At this time, it seems unclear the level of severity of the shoulder injury, and that he will undergo further testing on Wednesday. Stewart has had a nice season thus far, with a 2.63 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and a 44/13 K/BB in 37 2/3 innings pitched.
