Brandon Williams Nets 24 Points Against Pelicans
1 year agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Brandon Williams had an impressive showing in the Summer League Friday, putting up a game-high 24 points and leading the team to a 102-88 victory over New Orleans. He finished with 6-for-14 shooting from the field and went 1-for-3 from deep with a 7-for-9 record at the charity stripe. The former Arizona Wildcat also made his presence felt defensively by registering three steals, and he wrapped up his line with two rebounds and three assists. The 23-year-old averaged 12.9 points and 3.9 assists for Portland in 24 games a couple of seasons back, but he spent the entire 2022-23 campaign in the G League. Williams is now looking to stick in the NBA again, and Friday was certainly a good start in achieving it.
